GOOD WORK STARTS WITH HOW WE TREAT EACH OTHER

Be clear. Be fair. Be considerate.

These standards apply when you hire, offer a service, exchange time, write a review or take part in a workroom.

Represent yourself and your work honestly.

  • Use accurate account and profile information. Claim only experience, qualifications and checks that you can substantiate.
  • Describe the work, location, timing, price or return task clearly. Do not use misleading offers, fake reviews or sample work presented as a completed client project.
  • Discuss relevant AI use before agreement and respect the project’s stated preference.
  • Use only images and other material you are entitled to publish. Do not impersonate another person.

Respect people, their time and their boundaries.

  • Communicate without harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse or pressure. Keep criticism focused on the work and the agreement.
  • Do not share someone else’s private contact details, home address, documents or messages publicly. Take particular care with information about children.
  • Give useful notice if your availability changes. Ask before changing the scope, timing or what the other person is expected to provide.
  • Review delivered work fairly against the agreed task. A time exchange requires the same care and follow-through as money-based work.

Offer work you can lawfully and safely do.

Do not post illegal, deceptive, exploitative or harmful requests. Membership is for people aged 18 and over. Check the rules where the work happens and confirm any required registration, qualifications, insurance or safeguarding arrangements.

A marketplace category, activated email address or positive review does not establish that someone is suitable for a regulated or sensitive role.

Raise concerns with useful information.

Use the workroom to explain a disagreement calmly and keep the record together. Report suspected scams, abusive behaviour or misleading listings to hello@hourhelpers.com with the relevant page or workroom number.

Do not send criminal-record documents or sensitive payment information in a report. Review the terms for the responsibilities that apply to your account and work.
